Vintage Star Quilt Top

I started this quilt at the Music City MQG Retreat a couple weekends ago, and finished up the top a week later. (Click here for more about the retreat!) I’ve been eyeing Jeni Baker’s free pattern for the Vintage Star Quilt, and finally took the plunge with some of my favorite Heather Ross fabrics – prints from her Briar Rose collection and background fabric from the Tiger Lily line.

The top came together super quickly, and I’m  happy to report that Oxyclean took the red wine stain right out!

I don’t have many progress pics at all, so let’s jump straight to the finished top. Sunday afternoon was sunny but super windy – it was hard to get any good pics at all! (I’m not complaining about the sunshine though!)

I just love the vintage-inspired colors and hidden details of these prints and I’m so happy I finally cut into them. I’m thinking this will be the second quilt I send to a longarmer this year (My 2016 Crafty Resolutions finally convinced me to go for it!) but I’ll probably try to finish up at least one more baby quilt to send at the same time.

I’m linking up to Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish Friday 🙂
