When I worked in a school environment, it seemed like the year revolved around holidays, big or small. If it was President’s Day or St. Patrick’s Day or Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I would be rounding up books and writing lesson plans and looking for activities that would tie into each one. Even after I stopped working as a librarian, I still enjoyed decorating my home for whatever season or holiday was around the corner.
In the past couple years, though, those habits have faded. Sometimes I miss it and sometimes it feels like a relief, but I know it’s just a season in life right now… and I’ll probably get excited about celebrating minor holidays again when we have kids.
Today I’m feeling nostalgic so here’s a quick Throwback Thursday to a couple St. Patrick’s Day crafts I made a couple years ago… and a few ideas for crafts I would love to make some day. St. Patrick’s Day is in one week and I probably won’t get around to doing any of these projects this year… but I’ll wear some green and there’s always next year, right?
Lovely crafts I’d like to make some day:
