High Five for Friday!

I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact!  Focusing on five little things that made me happy is my way of recapping the week and a reminder to stay grateful.

1 – DST. The time change didn’t affect me too much this year (maybe because I haven’t been sleeping that well anyway?) and I’m loving the light at the end of the day. I decided it was time to get back to exercising, and daily walks after work are making a huge difference already. I love Spring!
2 – Grownup Bed. Picked out a new bed so we could move our old Ikea standby to the guest room. I’ve always liked sleigh beds, and graduating to a King has been a fun change. We exchanged the boxspring for a lower profile so I don’t need a ladder anymore (only slightly joking) and now it’s perfect!
3 – Baptist Fans. Still loving the quilting on my Pixelated Heart quilt… I’m convinced that professional longarming is the way to go from now on! (Thanks Studio V Quilting!). Now if only I can find time/motivation to get the binding on…
4 – Hamilton. Listening to the cast album on repeat and finding more details to love every time. Seriously on my bucket list to see the show on Broadway, even if it takes a few years for prices to get down to a reasonable level…
5 – Easter. It’s a Good Friday indeed because I have the day off and my parents are driving up. It’s nice to have a non-doctor appointment visit planned. And it’s a good thing they don’t mind spending the weekend furniture shopping and building shelves… (homeownership is fun!)
