Pixelated Heart Quilt
Way back in January (and snow days!), I needed something to jolt me out of my sewjo rut so I jumped on board the Pixelated Heart QAL, hosted by @SewKellySews on Instagram… and it was exactly what I needed!
I used the free pattern from Robert Kaufman and blogged my progress in weekly WIP posts, finishing up the quilt top in February. It came back from the longarmer in March, then three months passed by in the blink of an eye before I got around to the binding. But when we hung a second rod in the hallway for a quilt display and the baby-quilt-sized quilts I had on hand just weren’t cutting it, I suddenly had the motivation I needed to finish it up.
Ta da!
My first finish of 2016. But what I’m lacking in quantity this year, I’m trying to make up for with quality by taking my time and only working on quilts I really love. I am still in love with the low-volume trend and I love having my two latest quilts displayed when you walk through our front door. You can’t ignore that a quilter lives here!
A few progress pics below to wrap this up:

So much detail and thought goes into a project like this. They both are amazing, thanks for sharing:).

Wow, great quilt! Thanks for the pattern link. This will be great for a charity quilt I’m planning.
Cheers,
