When my brother came for a quick visit this weekend, we decided to visit the The Frist in downtown Nashville for the first time. Lately the weather has been alternately rainy and muggy but constantly 90 degrees, so it was definitely nice to have an indoor activity.
The rotating exhibit on the main floor is currently Bellissima! The Italian Automotive Renaissance featuring cars from 1945-1975. Generally I’m pretty uninterested in cars but even I could appreciate how cool these were!
Upstairs there’s a permanent exhibit for children, so of course we checked it out. It was geared toward older kids but would be fun for a lot of ages, and our favorites were the stop motion movies and digital kaleidoscope art. Very cool!
I’m so glad we finally checked out this museum, and we’ll definitely keep our eyes peeled for the next exhibit to check it out.
And just in case you didn’t catch yesterday’s Meowth Monday, I can’t resist sharing a couple Pokemon Go pics… that game is surprisingly addictive! After 15 minutes inside the museum we had to ban the app since it was so distracting, but once we were outside again it was fair game…
More city sights coming soon as we explore the Nashville area!
