Another weekly update on my current Works in Progress 🙂
Pumpkin Passport Cross Stitch
I started the August portion of the Pumpkin Passport, and this month we stopped in India at the Taj Mahal. Thanks to the Olympics, I’ve gotten plenty of stitching time in lately and hopefully I’ll finish up before the new Halloween SAL starts on August 25th.
Also… I ordered my first Q Snap Cover (AKA grime guard) from HKats Crafts and I love it! (I’m still smitten with the Wee Wander fabric line and couldn’t resist the pink fireflies.) I never really understood what was so great about them, but not only does the fabric keep dirty fingers off the aida fabric, you can also roll up the excess fabric into the cover, which the elastic keeps in place and out of the way.

To the Longarmer
So technically this falls somewhere between a WIP and a Finish… I finished two quilt backs over the weekend and they are off to the longarmer now. I can’t wait to see the quilting and finish these up!

Square Dance Quilt
I couldn’t resist starting a new quilt, starring two of my new favorite Cotton + Steel prints (Birch in Periwinkle from the Les Fleur line and Clothesline Floral in Red from the Lucky Strikes line) and crisp white patchwork. I’m using the Square Dance pattern from SewMotion, a disappearing four-patch that should really show off the fabric.
This weekend is the August Music City MQG meeting and we’re doing an open sew, so I should be able to make some more progress then. Open sews are the best!

And that’s about it!
Amazing work!
