I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! Focusing on five little things that made me happy is my way of recapping the week and a reminder to stay grateful.
– No-Sew Nursery. No sewing machine, no problem… I can still make a crib skirt! I gave up on most other nursery decor projects, but at least this one got done.
– Maternity Leave. Wednesday was my last day at work, and I’m taking the next few days to wrap up a few projects around the house… and prop up my feet as much as possible. Which means stitching time!
– Filed. One of those projects that I’ve been meaning to tackle for some time (pretty much ever since we moved in 2015, in fact) is getting our paperwork under control. I’m about halfway through and it definitely isn’t photo-worthy but it’s so satisfying to get this done!
– Pumpkin season. It’s not much, but at least we managed a tiny nod to the Fall season by the front door. It will have to do!
– The Swans of New York. More than five minutes to eat breakfast = time to read! I’m loving the dishy behind-the-scenes novelization of Truman Capote’s rise (and fall) in this novel by Melanie Benjamin.
