High Five for Friday!

Happy Friday!

I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! This week is dedicated to surviving the second week of parenthood. Nursing on demand and sleep deprivation mane some days better than others, but we’re doing the best we can!

H54F is all about focusing on five little things that made me happy: my way of recapping the week and a reminder to stay grateful.

1 – Best Grandmom Award. While Sam is at work, there’s no way I could get through the day without my Mama around. She is the best! (And I’m trying not to get too overwhelmed when I remember that she’s leaving in a week.)

2 – Sprout Baby App. I use this app for tracking everything – nursing sessions, diapers, milestones, doctor appointments. I can barely remember what I ate an hour ago, let alone how long it’s been since Amelia’s last meal, so it’s great to have everything in one place.

3 – Stolen Moments. Sometimes I have two hands for five minutes but don’t really know what to do with myself – there’s always the To Do list but when I need a break I’ve been able to pick up my cross stitching. It’s nice to have an ongoing project that doesn’t require much mental energy but still shows progress.

4 – Jane the Virgin Marathon. Mom and I are catching up on the last season of Jane the Virgin with an episode a day and it’s so good!

5 – Pottermore Ebooks. The 3 recently released ebooks of Pottermore essays are perfect for late night feedings when I’m tired of scrolling through social media but still don’t have the energy to concentrate on anything substantial.
