High Five for Friday!

Happy Friday!

I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! This week has been a bit of a doozy, I can’t lie. But H54F is all about focusing on five little things that made me happy; it’s my way of recapping the week and a reminder to stay grateful.

1 – On Display. Finally got the Firefly quilt hung on the wall above the changing table, and now we wake up to pretty patchwork every morning.
2 – Date Night. While my family was visiting, Sam & I were able to see a movie… and now that leaving the house is such a big deal, it felt like a huge adventure! (Dr. Strange is worth seeing in theaters!)
3 – Nashville. I had a doctor appointment in Nashville this week, so we loaded up the baby for her first outing and hoped for the best… and it went great! Amelia got lots of compliments at the doctor’s office, got passed around to Sam’s co-workers at his office, and even slept long enough for us to eat dinner out.
4 – New Rug. I can waffle back and forth on a purchase for months, but not my mama! She found this round rug for the empty space in our open concept living area, and ordered it before she left.
5 – Anne’s House of Dreams. Between saying goodbye to my family and the election results, I was in need of some serious comfort reading this week. The best part about reading a series so many times is that you don’t have to start at the beginning anymore – so I skipped straight to Book #5 for some cathartic escapism.
