High Five for Friday!

Happy Friday!

I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! H54F is all about focusing on five little things that made me happy: my way of recapping the week and a reminder to stay grateful.

1 – Family. Amelia got to hang out with her aunts and grandfather this weekend and go on her first stroller outing to downtown Franklin. Everything is new to her (and us) which makes even the simplest outing seem like a big deal.

2 – Wonder Weeks App. This app was recommended by the hospital and it lets you know when developmental milestones or “leaps” are happening… and even more importantly, when you can expect “stormy” and “sunny” weeks. A long day with a fussy baby is a little easier to bear when you know it’s because her brain is working overtime.

3 – 1 Year. I can’t believe it’s been almost one year since we moved into this house! We had our 11-month warranty review this week, and fortunately all the fixes are cosmetic. We’ve come a long way in a year.

4 – Merry and Bright. I couldn’t resist the newest Christmas pattern from the Frosted Pumpkin gals which will match the Trick or Treat pattern I just finished. I know I keep saying it, but having a project that I can pick up for a couple minutes at a time is really saving my sanity these days.

5 – A Very Kacey Christmas. I made it all the way until one week before Thanksgiving to break out the holiday music, and we’ve been singing along to Kacey Musgrave’s new album all week long. I’m so excited for Thanksgiving next week and even more excited to start decorating on Black Friday!
