The first H54F of 2017! High Five for Friday features five highlights of the week, my way of focusing on the little things that remind me to stay grateful.
I have a lot to catch up on today!
1 – Christmas. Our first road trip with the baby was bumpy, but once we got to MS it was so much fun to see Sam’s fam love all over Amelia. She ate up the attention and slept like a dream. I might even call it a Christmas miracle 🙂
2 – New Year. We changed up our travel plans at the last minute so that Sam could carpool with his family to be Best Man in his brother’s wedding and I could spend a few days in AL with my parents to ring in the new year (instead of Sam driving the 8 hours by himself). Win win for everyone! More than ever before, I don’t know what to expect this year, but I’m fortunate to be surrounded by family and I’m trying to enjoy it the best I can.
3 – Flexible Grandparents. A huge snafu with health insurance threw a wrench in this week’s schedule and it still hasn’t been resolved yet, but both my parents rearranged their plans to help out. I don’t know what I would do without them!
4 – Hands. Amelia has discovered her hands! It’s exciting and adorable and so much fun to watch her.
5 – New Theme. I spruced up the blog with a new WordPress theme (Button) and I really like the new look! I’ve put it off for a long time but it only took about half an hour to customize, and inspired me to make some other updates as well. A good lesson for 2017: stop overanalyzing and just go for it!
