High Five for Friday!

This week we’re in Mississippi for the funeral of Sam’s great grandmother. It’s always sad to gather for such an occasion but it’s always special to have the whole clan together, and 96 years of life is quite an achievement to celebrate.

Every week I share five highlights, both as a recap and a reminder to stay grateful for the little things.

1 – In Laws. Even though we’re visiting for a sad reason, it’s always good to be back in MS. This picture was taken at Christmas – five generations together.

2 – The Oscars. Our tradition of filling out ballots with friends is going strong, even if our predictions didn’t pan out this year. I fell asleep about halfway through but woke up in time to catch the Best Picture snafu.

3 – Self Care. Painted my toes for the first time since A arrived AND did a face mask this week; yay for self care! I’m loving this rose gold polish.

4 – Moana Soundtrack. Amelia loves this soundtrack; it’s so cute to watch her perk up and smile when it starts playing.

5 – Political Podcasts. I don’t touch politics on this blog, but I’ve been keeping a closer watch on current events than ever before. My favorite podcasts to keep informed are Pod Save America, Pantsuit Politics, and NPR Politics.

  1. Sorry to hear about Sam’s g’grandmother. I’m tickled that just this past Friday I also painted my toes for the first time in very close to one year and I also went with a gold.
