Another weekly update on my current Works in Progress 🙂

Still working on the last drink in the trio: the lemonade!

QAYG Cathedral Windows Quilt
I’ve been working on this new quilt in spurts during nap time, although I stopped when we went out of town. The construction is so cool – after cutting 72 fabric circles and 36 batting circles, you cut a slit on the top piece of fabric, layer two prints right sides together with a batting circle on the bottom, sew around the edge, and pull the right sides out of the hole to make a padded “pancake.” Then you fold down the curved edges to make a Cathedral Window. That probably sounds super confusing – you should definitely check out the free tutorial from Quilting in the Rain instead!
All fabric has been cut and I’m working on the “pancakes” now.

Guild Round Robin quilt
After a burst of inspiration following the last guild meeting, I picked out fabrics to add to the first few rounds, then it sat in a pile for a couple weeks. This week I realized that I better get started soon, since I’m going to be out of town for a week. Friendship stars are coming together, and then I’ll figure out how to add them onto one side of the center panel. I’m going to miss the next meeting, but I want to get my round done so I can pass it on to the next person.

And that’s about it!
Love the book marks…love it all!
