High Five for Friday!

Happy Friday! Once again, High Five for Friday features five highlights of the week, my way of focusing on the little things that remind me to stay grateful.

1 – 7 Months! This girl has been a busy bee lately: cutting her first tooth, sleep training, trying to crawl, and loving all kinds of food.

2 – Market Street Festival. We had such a fun time visiting MS for a long weekend, and it was perfect timing to go to the street fair. I just wish we lived a few hours closer to both our families!

3 – Sleep Training. My entire week has revolved around this book; it’s the sleep training bible! It hasn’t been easy to change our habits, but every night gets progressively better, so I have high hopes that we will all be enjoying full nights of sleep very soon! (FYI I’m keeping a daily log and will write up my thoughts about the experience soon.)

4 – Guardians of the Galaxy. While we were in MS, we got to sneak away for a movie. (Unfortunately the baby woke up early and wouldn’t go back to sleep so the fun was short lived… but that’s just one more reason why we needed to start sleep training.)

5 – Clip-On Sunglasses. Extreme dry eyes are definitely not a highlight, but that’s what I’ve been dealing with for the past couple weeks, so I can’t wear my contacts until it’s under control. I don’t mind glasses, but I really miss my sunglasses while driving and walking outside; until I splurge on prescription sunglasses, this $10 pair of clip-ons will do just fine!

Bonus! Finally got a back seat mirror and love being able to see what baby girl is up to behind me.
