Citrus Biscornu Cross Stitch

I love sharing finishes, and today I actually have a FFO (Fully Finished Object) to share!

I’ve had this Citrus Biscornu pattern from Satsuma Street Designs for a couple years, and I even had button options all picked out for it, but I finally got around to starting it in May.If you’ve never heard of a biscornu before, it’s an eight-sided pincushion made with two pieces of square fabric.

The top took me the longest to stitch, especially since I put it down to start on the Sweet as Pie Club, but once I got to the bottom piece it flew by. I love the bright colors, which was a good thing since I was essentially stitching four identical motifs. Once the top and bottom were complete, making the biscornu only took a couple sessions; it wasn’t hard at all, and I hope to make many more!

Here are a few progress pics! (I wonder how many cups of tea I inhaled while stitching outside?! It’s almost too hot to spend much time outside now, but I enjoyed the perfect May weather while it lasted!)

Ta da! I love this little pincushion, and it was so much fun to make. I especially love a FFO that isn’t framed; I’m running out of wall space!

I’m linking up to  Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish Friday.
