Another weekly update on my current Works in Progress 🙂
Sandy Orton Summer Sampler
I think I’ve finally decided how I’m going to stitch up all four of the Sandy Orton samplers. Since I started the Summer sampler right around the first official day of Summer, I’ll stitch on it until the end of the season. On the first day of Fall, I’ll start the Fall sampler, and so on until I’ve got a year-round rotation of all the samplers. I think this will help me stay motivated to work on each one, and even if it takes longer to reach a finish, I think I’d rather have multiple WIPs instead of finishing one and never starting the other three.
Anyway, here’s a bit of progress on the Summer Sampler. You can just start to make out the phrase “Summer Time.” It doesn’t look like much, but hopefully I’ll get to a more interesting portion soon!
Still Painting All the Things
Still at it! My last project (for a while at least) is a kid-sized table and set of four chairs that I found at a garage sale for $7! Best find so far.
The Frosted Pumpkins recently posted a tutorial for finishing a cross stitch as a standing cube, and I’ve been wanting to try something similar instead of framing some of my finished patterns. I’m starting small with The Beekeeper (blogged here) but I’m still in the gathering stage.
And that’s about it!
