Last week we visited the Williamson County Fair for the second year in a row. One year makes a big difference!
Amelia was in people-watching heaven. All the kids running around were much more interesting to her than the animals!
We stayed up way past Amelia’s bedtime (all the way to 8:30 PM!) eating fair food, checking out the displays, walking around, ogling the livestock, visiting the petting zoo, and enjoying the live music. Amelia fought back yawns and kept on dancing and waving her hands around.
Of course we visited the arts & crafts winners.
I love all the agriculture displays too, and this year we went through the Lil Farmers exhibition. We skipped most of the activities to get to the live animals at the end, but it will be so much fun when Amelia is old enough to participate.
We closed the night out with sno cones for the grownups and bluegrass for the baby.
Night night, fair!
And since it’s Throwback Thursday, here’s a look back at the sights and sounds from the fair last year!
The Williamson County Fair was open all last week, right down the road from our neighborhood. Since it was so close by, we went on a Thursday night to stroll around and eat some fair food for dinner (I tried to eat as healthily as possible – food truck fish tacos, roasted corn, and kettle corn for snacking). No rides for me!
I had to check out the arts and crafts winners, of course!
Before we left, we visited the livestock as the sun went down. Beautiful night for the fair!
More city sights coming soon as I explore the Nashville area!
