Happy Labor Day!
I am just getting back home from a week visiting my parents with Amelia, and today we’re planning on resting up before my parents go back to Alabama tomorrow. Last night we got together with my aunt and uncle who are in town. Amelia loved the company and refused to go to sleep at her regular bedtime. After half an hour of nonstop crying, we relented and brought her out to the living room… suddenly, the tears stopped and she had a grand time partying WAY past her bedtime. And THEN she went right to sleep.
This morning we spotted a hot air balloon landing in the field across the street, so we loaded Amelia into the stroller, still in her pajamas, to go check it out!
Happy to be home again!
The cats may not be as thrilled to see Amelia as she is to see them again, but Sam was happy to see us both!
Amelia’s dearest wish in life is to catch Tali’s tail, and Tali is very patient with her… she even lets her catch it every once in a while.
In past years, we were usually going on a trip or gearing up for one over the long weekend. Since it’s Meow Monday, let’s take a trip down memory lane with the kitkats as our guides, shall we?
In 2015 we were getting ready for a trip to Toronto:
The long weekend has been a much-needed chance to get ready for our upcoming trip to Toronto. The cats did their part to make sure everything was in tip-top shape for napping.
Window sill? Check!
And a quick pic from Toronto!
In 2014, we drove to the Dismals Canyon in Alabama for an overnight stay. No pics of the cats that year, but rest assured… they were probably napping and/or eating.
A quick pic of the Dismals!
In 2012, we had just gotten back from a quick day trip by train to Yosemite:
To celebrate Labor Day weekend, yesterday we humans took the train to Yosemite and the kitties stayed home and lazed around all day.
Today, we are taking a cue from the cats and being lazy too!
A quick pic from Yosemite!
The common denominator, of course… sleepy cats! That will never change. Hope you are getting your fill of adventure or relaxation today… whatever you need most!
