Even if the weather isn’t cooperating, I woke up on October 1 and realized: it’s Fall! I like to add a few things throughout the house as a nod to each season, so we hunted down the Box o’ Fall from the attic and I was done scattering my fall decor in about 15 minutes (it’s a small box!). I’ve been tweaking it throughout the week but I’m happy with our little bits of fall.
Happy Fall, y’all. Welcome in!
Inside, the first thing you see is our massive coat rack. I put a few things up and moved a few other things around to make room for new additions.
I still love my large scale cross stitch poster boards! (Even if I’ll always regret white thread on orange, since you can never see the skull in photos.)
A new quilt in the hallway.
A few pieces of art got rearranged to make room for this cross stitch.
This little bird dish came from a shop down the block from our apartment in San Francisco.
This fireplace heater moved out of the guest room and I don’t exactly know what to do with it, but Amelia is fascinated by the “flames.” The cat dish is a handy place to stow the remote.
I tried to make this runner as gaudy as possible, and I think I succeeded…
I haven’t been able to find a place for this super long table runner, so I put it away with the Fall stuff, but I think I might keep it out on the dresser year-round.
This hexi table topper was my first EPP project! It’s my daily goal to get the island cleared off completely… but as you can see a couple pictures down, I don’t usually succeed.
Bringing out a different tablecloth is one of my favorite changes. I spy five little pumpkins!
Behind the blinds are the new suncatchers we made earlier this week.
That’s the grand tour!
Guess what’s coming next week… a pumpkin patch birthday for our little pumpkin! I’ve started on the decorations, I just need a tall person to help me hang them.
Since I bring out the same stuff year after year, I dug through my archives to bring you some Throwback Thursday action. Here’s a peek at a few of my past homes!
Our tiny one-room townhouse in Mississippi:
Our even tinier one-bedroom apartment in San Francisco:
Same apartment, but with some handmade additions.
Our apartment in Tennessee (finally graduated to two bedrooms!)
Our first Fall in the new house, with a brand new baby just weeks away.
