We didn’t plan it this way, but December 1st kicked off a weekend full of festivities.
On Friday night, we headed to downtown Franklin for the Tree Lighting. The next morning, Amelia met Santa (she was NOT a fan) in our neighborhood. Then that afternoon, we headed back downtown to watch the Christmas parade. We met up with a friend to watch the floats, and I even spotted a new friend (& Amelia’s friend too!) walking in the parade. Even though I still feel new to Franklin and the city is growing by leaps and bounds, it still has that small-town feel that I grew up with and can’t help but love. This time of year especially, it’s nice to feel like we’re at home here!
A few snapshots from our weekend adventures!

There will be more city sights coming soon… Dickens of a Christmas is next weekend, and I’m hoping to see the lights at Cheekwood some time this season, too!
Great pics!
