It’s been a couple years since we’ve made it to the Main Street Festival held in downtown Franklin, but it finally happened this year!
We expected the usual festival fare and probably came with a “been there, done that” attitude, but we ended up having a lot more fun than we expected; now that Amelia is becoming more engaged with her surroundings, it’s so entertaining to see things through her eyes. She loved pointing out the dogs and balloons we saw everywhere, and chowed down on half a bag of kettle corn. When we passed the ponies, she got so excited that we had to let her have a ride… it may have cost more than $1/minute, but it was the best $5 we spent, because she loved it so much!

Bonus!
I found the last post I wrote about the Main Street Festival from way back in 2015… before we bought a house or had a baby!
So here’s some TBT action a few days early:
We’ve had a busy few weekends in a row – and it’s not going to let up anytime soon. We were out all day Saturday looking at houses with our agent, and Sunday we had another round of open houses to check out. But first… fair food! We all know that’s the real reason I like festivals.
Main Street Festival is the big annual street fair in downtown Franklin, and even though all the festivals start to run together, I always enjoy a chance to stroll around people watching, checking out the stores and tents, and perusing the food trucks. Plus, it was nice to take a deep breath and step away from the MLS listings for a bit. (Too bad it was chilly… can’t have it all!)
More city sights coming soon as we explore the Nashville area!
So natural upon her pony! Loved these pics!
